Since yesterday, artists and visitors to our site have been receiving another spam message containing slander, sharing our sensitive data and photos, and calling for us to be treated as fascists, i.e. with violence. The 161 Crew, as administrators of their Telegram channel ‘Walka Trwa’ (The Fight Continues), have also published the same content with sensitive data, even though the chat rules prohibit all callouts XD.
So it’s time for another episode in the series: ‘Postój responds to slander
One of the reasons for this smear campaign is that two members of our collective, Kasia and Karol, have been writing about their experiences of violence since Sunday. They describe it as follows:
“Our names are Kasia and Karol Agrafka. As of tomorrow, we are members of the Anarchist Federation, although Karol has already been removed from most chat rooms after we were compared to fascists for attending the March Against Anti-Semitism in Warsaw, and Kacper has been banned by name.
Kasia’s adventure in the anarchist movement began at the beginning of this year. At around the same time, she began participating in events organised by the Postój collective and the Anarchist Federation. Karol’s participation in events began a year ago, when, as a recovering drug addict, he was looking for a place where he could have fun sober. In May, he met Kasia and became involved in the activities of the Wrocław Anarchist Federation and the broader anarchist movement. A few weeks later, at a federation meeting, Kasia and Karol were blackmailed with the threat that they were forbidden from going to Postój, to those ‘fucking Zionists’.
(Karol) When I admitted that Kasia was active there, I was warned that ‘it’s not safe there’ and that she could get hurt. The hippie encouraged me to gather information about the members of the collective, record them and note down the number plates of Kacper’s private car so that it could be destroyed.
After many long discussions and verifying the facts, we realised that the only real accusation against Postój and the people working there was their refusal to promote totalitarianism and terrorism. After confronting the anarchists and stating our position, we were told that it was acceptable for us to attend. The second wave of hostility towards us manifested itself after we admitted on the messenger app that we had attended an anti-Semitism demonstration in Warsaw. After a disgusting and deceitful callout full of slander, insults and declarations about treating us ‘on a par with fascists’, we both began to call on the community and Hipis, who shared this crap, to remove it. When this had no effect, I began sharing this disgusting, mendacious essay myself on an international group, for which I was immediately removed as someone ‘sabotaging the anarchist movement’. Several people from abroad responded by offering me their support.
If people are being harmed at Postój, it is only because of some members of FA and people associated with Hulajpole, who spread this disgusting propaganda. . It is most likely Hipis and Blandest who are behind the ‘Black Ranks’, and no one seems to mind. When asked for evidence to back up their claims, they refer to other people or back down. Enough of these false accusations. Enough of these attempts to achieve political goals through intimidation and slander.
Who is most likely to be the source of these messages from ‘Zjeb spod kamienia’? The only person who knows that we ‘reported the university’ is the person we reported. At the request of a group of students, we helped them report Kelley’s case to the university and the discrimination and student rights department. Kelley is a ‘post-Nazi’ and author of another anarchist peja, i.e. selfish propaganda sympathised with by part of the anarchist movement cooperating with this Nazi. He beat up a Ukrainian refugee for responding to a chauvinistic verbal attack, where Kelly said to him, ‘Why do you have such a strange name, you are in Poland and you have to change your name to a Polish one,’ and he replied, „Why do you have such a strange name, “Kelly”, and not a normal one, xxx (here he said his deadnejm, not knowing that it was deadnejm”).
He disseminated his ‘post-Nazi’ ideology to students, in which “Jews” were among the main enemies and ‘white people’ were the ideal human beings. He also distributed his Nazi (black sun) and communist (hammer and sickle) flag, Gomułka’s anti-Semitic speeches, and extremely anti-Semitic memes with Nazi caricatures of Jews. He disturbed the peace at night in the dormitory with neo-Nazi hymns, gave the Nazi salute to students through the window, and walked around the common areas of the dormitory with a USSR flag.
The message also accuses us of other things, so here is a brief summary of them:
Our police informant was such that when 30 fascists attacked Postój at the beginning of our activity, some of us, including a person outside the collective – Aleks, associated with the Anarchist Federation, active today in the witch hunt against us, called the police. And Kacper, beaten by six fascists with telescopic batons and tear gas, who at the time had a case pending for an alleged attack on a police officer, after talking to the anti-repression collective “Szpila”, he filed a report with the police about the beating so that no one would try to frame him for participating in a “fight”, which could have resulted in him going to prison. Yes, we fought the fascists with dogs.
In addition, the „sitwa”, organising a public demonstration, announced a well-known fact – that there would be police protection at the event. Only people who have never organised a public demonstration in their lives can be so stupid as to think that it is possible to organise a demonstration without police protection and contact with the police.
We do not have a high turnover of members – on the contrary, very few people have left us during this period of activity. We place great emphasis on resolving conflicts within the group, we have supervision from a psychologist, mental health is important to us, as is the fight against a culture of bullying and actions against hierarchy. It is obvious that there are conflicts that could not be resolved due to a lack of tools or willingness to talk. The Postój collective is made up of a large group of people, and it is unfair to all members of the collective to portray Kacper and Amelia as some kind of rulers of Postój.
As for Zawody, it’s just rehashing old news – the band hasn’t played for five years because the young people entering adulthood simply went their separate ways.
We did not fall out with anyone at Syrena – we stood in solidarity with them during their eviction from Przychodnia and Rozbrat, and we still talk about this violence today, for which Przychodnia and Rozbrat hate us. We would like to remind you of our previous statements:
Over five years ago, we had a falling out with some members of the Wrocław anarchist community. Kacper and Amelia briefly describe the matter as follows:
“We are talking about the conflict surrounding a dangerous long-term direct action project in which we participated. Only two years after it, despite the attacks and slander that continued at the time. Because one of us was threatened with imprisonment and criminal sanctions for an alleged attack on a police officer. Only after our acquittal could we begin to defend ourselves instead of burying our heads in the sand and accepting the attacks in the hope that the slanderers would not testify against us in court, as they had threatened to do.
We tried to resolve it through mediation or another remedial process, but the other party to the conflict refused from the very beginning. Kacper describes his harmful behaviour, for which he was labelled ‘violent’, which was treated as justification for robbing us of essential items (1500-3000 PLN), breaking solidarity agreements, threatening false testimony, and public and private slander. This is a problem that does not only affect us – the groups we co-create also feel its effects. Following patriarchal custom, Amelia was equally harmed, even though no charges were brought against her other than being with Kacper, while at the same time being ignored and treated as a shadow. We summarise this and describe why we are no longer part of the anarchist movement in Poland and want nothing to do with it.” You can read their entire statement on our website.
Part of Postój is involved in the Social Initiative Fighting Anti-Semitism, which we wrote about in our previous response to the slander and attacks. It is a broader, autonomous group, also made up of Jewish people. On 12 October, Sitwa organised a demonstration against anti-Semitism. It was attended by Babcia Kasia, the anti-fascist activist ‘Ukrainian in Poland’, the legends of the anti-communist and democratic opposition Wiszniewski and Gebert. It was anti-fascist in nature, celebrating the ceasefire, i.e. peace. It was attended not only by Jews and Poles, but also by Iranians and other people from the region. There were people with Israeli flags – not in support of the current right-wing government of Israel or any government, but of Israeli society and the Israeli people and their own connection to them. There were also rainbow flags, anti-fascist flags, Polish-Jewish flags, Ukrainian flags and others.
Sitwa has never slandered or doxxed anyone — all the cases described concern public figures. Kaja Kędzioł, whose activities it described, mainly involved wearing a chauvinistic, nationalist Palestinian scarf with the Arabic inscription ‘Jerusalem is ours’ (imagine if someone wore a Polish scarf with the inscription ‘Lviv is ours’), or invited Nidal Hamad — an agent of Assad attacking DAANES (Rojava), a Ukrainophobe — to the university, she herself was publicly in the Sejm under her own name, representing the Academy for Palestine and Solidarity. And Sanad Jordanian, whom the clique allegedly slanders, is a public leader of the Warsaw protests, who publicly called for the burning of all those who recognise Israel’s right to exist, or shouted ‘F**k the Arabs’ for not hating Jews as much as he does.
The clique has repeatedly referred to the voices of Palestinians who oppose the fascists of Hamas and promote a secular, democratic Palestine, and they have highlighted accounts of such people on Instagram. The spam message contains a link to a folder with evidence of our ‘crimes’, where our ‘anti-Hamas action’ sticker is labelled as anti-Palestinian XD. How brainwashed by propaganda do you have to be to think that Hamas is pro-Palestinian?
The initiative also describes situations such as the recent one in Warsaw, where a Nazi spoke at a demonstration organised by the Zaczyn squat, shouting ‘Israelis, fuck off, you will all die in agony’, or Braunist and Putinist Jarosiewicz.
As for the Palestinian issue, as we wrote in previous texts responding to the smear campaign, Postój supports all civilians and the right of peoples and nations to self-determination. There is no place for national flags at Postój, but due to the suffering of the Palestinians and the freedom of artists, we made an exception, and some artists performed with the Palestinian flag. A perfect example of what our alleged ‘anti-Palestinianism’ or ‘whitewashing of genocide’ or ‘kissing the Zionist boot’ looks like in practice is the video included in their callout. The film, which was actually made at Postój, represents our views – support for Palestine while condemning the whitewashing of criminals, genocidal maniacs and fascists. We recommend watching it.
This is not a matter where one can remain neutral. Some truly sick and violent things have happened. Blackmail, in which people were required to report on us, burn our belongings and harm us. Beatings, promotion of Nazism and totalitarian communism, extreme anti-Semitism. Publication of sensitive data exposing us to danger, calls for violence against us.
We know how many people are overwhelmed by everyday life and escape into alternative movements to rest, hoping that they will not find what they are running away from. But without really facing up to the problems, we reproduce them, sometimes in a much worse form. So we say: enough is enough. Enough cooperation with sectarians who want to subjugate everything around them with violence. Enough tolerance for hatred, violence and anti-Semitism.
We are not giving up. On the contrary, receiving messages from people who are leaving the Anarchist Federation because of its violence, and from many others, we are accelerating our plans for greater socio-political action. We invite everyone who wants to take real anti-fascist action, who is truly against all forms of racism, including anti-Semitism.
